Opposition protest against inflation after Juma prayers

Opposition alliance PDM will hold nationwide protests today (Friday) against rising inflation. Demonstrations will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and other cities after Friday prayers.

PML-N President Rana Sanaullah said that if the long march is needed, Maryam Nawaz or Shahbaz Sharif will lead it. If the march reaches Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif can join.

Strict security arrangements have been made in view of the expected long march of a banned outfit and opposition separately in Rawalpindi and Lahore on Friday. Several routes are closed and metro service is also suspended while police in Islamabad have also issued a traffic plan.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Imran Khan must be removed from power to get rid of inflation, demonstrations should be held in every district of Karachi against inflation.

According to the schedule issued by the PDM, a protest procession will be taken out from Jain Mandir Chowk in Lahore at 3 pm.

Karachi

Demonstration will be held at Karachi Empress Market after Friday prayers at 3 o’clock.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

There will also be protests in Peshawar, Swat, Shangla and other cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

There will also be protests in Mianwali and Bhakkar on October 24.
