Pakistan Army’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said that the operation in Iran was intelligence based, with using attack drones, rockets and other weapons.

In a statement, the ISPR said that on the morning of January 18, Pakistan carried out strikes in Iran, targeting terrorists who were involved in recent attacks in Pakistan.

The ISPR said it successfully targeted the hideouts of the Balochistan Liberation Army and the Balochistan Liberation Front.

Inter-Services Public Relations said that the armed forces of Pakistan are always ready to ensure the safety of Pakistani citizens against terrorist acts, we are determined to protect the sovereignty of Pakistan’s territorial boundaries in any case.

Why did Pakistan name the operation in Iran ‘Marg bar Sarmchar’?

The intelligence-based operation carried out by Pakistan in Iran has been named Operation Marg bar, Sarmchar.

Marg bar is a Persian word, which means ‘death ‘, while Sarmchar is a Balochi word that means life-sacrifice, and is used by Baloch militants.

This intelligence operation was named ‘Operation Murg Bar Sarmchar’ which means ‘Death of Sarmchars’.

Terrorists in Iran call themselves ‘Sarmchar’.

Apart from this, many separatist extremists are also called Sarmchar in Balochistan province of Pakistan.

It should be remembered that this morning, Pakistan has targeted specific hideouts of terrorists in Iran’s Sistan province.
