Victim of harassment staged protest in Larkana

LARKANA: An alleged victim of harassment, Samina Gadhi along with her heirs staged a protest for justice outside Press Club Larkana.

Samina Gadhi a lady health worker said that forged marriage certificate was prepared and added, “If I had been married, I would have applied for divorce.”

She said that she was blackmailed by the accused through the videos and photos that had surfaced now.

A leading Sindhi daily reported that the accused parties have also released video calls and photos. The accused Darban Chandio’s nephew reached the Sindh High Court Larkana bench.

She said that the original ID card, which bears her original identity, had been edited and the photos had gone viral on social media.

Samina Gadhi said no one is ready to help despite appealing to the relevant officials including the Deputy Commissioner.

According to the Lady Health Worker, despite the FIR being lodged, the police did not take any action against the accused.

According to Naghma Naz, Women Protection Cell in-charge of the DIG’s office, the incident was reported and police were instructed to arrest the culprits.
