Rise of 300% sexual harassment cases recorded in Lahore

LAHORE Sep 22,2021- A rise of 300% sexual harassment cases has been recorded in Lahore.
According to the police, the number of incidents of reporting sexual harassment has increased after the Greater Iqbal Park Lahore incident.
According to police records, 642 cases of sexual harassment were registered in one and half month, 323 in August and 319 current month.

DIG Investigation Shariq Jamal Khan said that 110 cases have been dismissed as false.
Incidents used to happen but women avoided to lodge cases.
Shariq Jamal Khan said that the Greater Iqbal Park incident encouraged women to register cases, investigation is on merit, and action will be taken against those who registered false cases.
