KARACHI, Feb 15,2022- Victim of alleged torture and harassment Parveen Rind appeared barefoot in the chamber of Chief Justice Sindh High Court on Tuesday.

DIG Benazirabad, SSP Nawabshah and Registrar People’s Medical University also appeared before the Chief Justice Sindh High Court in the case of alleged torture and harassment against Parveen Rind of People’s Medical University Nawabshah.

Deputy Commissioner Nawabshah did not appear in court. Chief Justice expresses displeasure over non-arrest of accused.

Judicial Staff’s callings for Deputy Commissioner were heard.

DIG Shaheed Benazirabad informed the Chief Justice that the case has been registered, and the victim girl has also been asked to provide evidence to the police.

Parveen Rind Case: FIR of sexual harassment and attempt to murder lodged

One of the accused was named as Mustafa Rajput who was granted protective bail by the Sindh High Court yesterday. If the accused’s bail is canceled, he will be arrested, DIG Shaheed Benazirabad added.

He further said that on the same day that the incident took place, the police had issued a letter for medical treatment and added that no delay was from police side.

The Chief Justice has ordered to complete the investigation and submit a report within 15 days.

DIG Shaheed Benazirabad said that the victim girl has also been asked to tell if any other people are involved.
