There is no minister who is not corrupt: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi
ISLAMABAD –June 30, 2021: PML-N leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has supports Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who had said that the house has not functioned according to parliamentary traditions for three years.
Addressing the National Assembly, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said to the Speaker that there are agreements with you again and again, no attention is paid to them, what doomsday would have come if you had got a vote yesterday.
He said that the rules say that whenever there is a vote, it will be counted. Didn’t Khurshid Shah and Ali Wazir have the right to come and sit in the House?
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that Khurshid Shah is one of the oldest members of this House. Did you not see Khurshid Shah’s seat vacant for two years?
Addressing the Speaker, he said that House works according to the Rules, not according to your wishes, the ministers attacked, but you could not do anything.
The former prime minister said that you have not read the rules, you have not seen the traditions of the parliament?
During Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s speech, government members made a fuss over which Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that if the Leader of the Opposition cannot speak here, then the Leader of the House will not be able to do so. We want it to be in accordance with House Rules.
He also said that I request you to take care of the honor of this House, it is your responsibility, you are a party, you did not allow the vote to take place, defamation belongs to the House, it belongs to you, it belongs to us.
