Protest against Bahria Twon: Security beefed, anti-riot squad also called

KARACHI (June 5, 2021): To face any eventuality, during protest of Sindh Indigenous Rights Alliance and other parties the police has prepared a comprehensive security plan and has sought help from anti-riot squad. The DIG Police east Zone Karachi has directed the three SSPs to provide police force and other requirements.

Sindh Indigenous Rights Alliance and Sindh Action committee have given call of sit-in on Sunday, in front of Bahria Town gate, against the administration of Bahria Town to protest management of Bahria Town and New DHA City. They are protesting historical Sindhi villages are allegedly demolished and usurped by the giant housing projects.

DIG Police east Zone Karachi wrote a letter to that keeping in view the security situation and cracker attack near Bahria Icon Tower to maintain law and order situation three SSPs, with police force have been directed to report for duty.

Letter sent to SSP Investigation-I, SSP Investigation-II, SP PHQ East Zone, SSP investigation-III  said that along with other police force, they should come with 150 man power with full anti-riot kits, 500 gas shells, and forensic mobile along with forensic team.
