Bahria Town guards, officials granted bail

KARACHI: Judicial Magistrate Malir granted bail to six security guards of Bahria Town

A Case of attack on Karam Jokhio Goth and kidnapping of a person and taking him to police station was registered.

The Bail of all the accused has been granted for of Rs 10,000 each.

The court granted pre-arrest bail to seven administrative officers.

All the 7 administrative officers have been ordered to submit bonds of Rs. 10,000 each.

On May 9, detained more than a dozen staff of the property developer in late-night raids, for alleged rioting, kidnapping and injuring villagers.

Police have registered a First Information Report under Sections 147, 148, 149, 337-A and 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code pertaining to rioting armed with weapons, kidnapping or abduction in order to murder and causing injuries, etc., against BTK security officials.

On Friday, the security guards tried to destroy agricultural crops in Kamal Khan Jokhio Goth in order to pave the way for new BTK projects near Kathore, a move that was resisted by the villagers.

Meanwhile, Bahria Town Karachi denied the allegations level against it and said misleading videos and baseless allegations circulating on social media.

After more than 10 days, the Bahria Town management came out with a version, which was posted on Twitter. Earlier, journalists were complaining that BTK was not responding the queries.

BTK has posted a message on its Twitter account Bahria Town official @BahriaTownOffic, refuted the allegations level against it on social media and said that they have neither been nor would be in future part of any excess and illegal activity,.

The message further read, some local political influentials and land mafia were jointly blackmailing the Bahria Town.

The tweet further said, Bahria Town will be responsible, any person can prove that Bahria Twon has illegally occupied his even a single inch of land.
