New academic year in Sindh to start from April 1

KARACHI (June 6, 2021): When will Sindh’s schools open? The Corona virus cases continue to increase across Sindh, especially in Karachi and Hyderabad, No decision has been made in this regard.

Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani had said that a decision on whether or not to open schools in the province would be taken in a couple of days.

The classes from 1st to 8th in Punjab and Islamabad will start tomorrow Monday 7th June.

Matriculation and Intermediate classes are already underway in the federal capital Islamabad.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s universities will also open Monday, schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have already opened.

There are 213 government colleges across the province, where thousands of students are studying from intermediate to graduation as well as post-graduation level.

Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani says that schools in the province will not open tomorrow (Monday 7th June), all educational institutions in Sindh were closed recently.

Talking to media in Karachi, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that a meeting of the steering committee of education department would be held in a few days to review the situation.

In Sindh most of the universities are holding online classes, where as no academic activity was reported from colleges. There are 213 government colleges across the province, where thousands of students are studying from intermediate to graduation as well as post-graduation level.

Corona cases not at decline in Karachi, Hyderabad

Despite the use administrative machinery corona virus cases in Karachi and Hyderabad do not name the decline.

Sindh government has left no effort to strictly implement SOPs to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in Karachi and Hyderabad.

While shops and industries are being shut down, millions of rupees are being received in the form of fines, but corona virus cases are not declining.

According to the Health Department, in the last 1 week, 5,302 people were tested for Corona virus in Hyderabad alone, out of which 436 new cases have come out.

In all, 18,531 Hyderabad residents were infected with corona, whereas in just one month 80 persons and 413 persons in total have lost their lives.
