Latif University distributes relief items among affectees

The Flood Relief Committee of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur distributed cooked food among the 500 flood affected people in the adjoining areas of University in different villages Jani Buriro and camps installed at the both sides of National Highway.

The relief items included mineral water, milk, ready made garments for children, cots, mosquito nets, pillows, towels, bed sheets.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto said at this juncture, the entire Sindh has inundated by the rain flooding, as result, there is devastation and catastrophic situation emerged.

Spokesperson of the university told Outcome that food and relief items were provided by some philanthropists.

Dr. Ibupoto appealed the world community, development sector, philanthropists to contribute generously for the rehabilitation of the people at large.

During the distribution of the food consignment Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Farman Ali Mangi, Prof. Dr Masihullah Jatoi, Farhan Latif Memon, Feroze Ali Phulpoto, Rajib Ali Chandio, Ali Raza Lashari, Members Flood Relief Committee and volunteer students of various students societies were present.
