CTD presents telephonic talk between MQM London leader Wasay Jalil, suspects. Farooq Sattar and Anis advocate were also summoned

KARACHI, (June 22, 2021): DIG Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Omar Shahid presented before media a telephonic conversation between Mutahida Qaumi Movement London leader Wasay Jalil and the arrested suspect to the media.

CTD head Omar Shahid while addressing a press conference along with SSP CTD Operation-I, Arif Hanif said that the founders of MQM, Anis Advocate and Wasay Jalil worked to run the RAW network. Anis advocate and Wasi Jalil were assigned sending the boys to India for training.

He said that a few weeks ago there was an operation of CTD in which the names of some MQM leaders came to light.

CTD Mirpur Khas has conducted the operation last night. CTD head Omar Shahid said that two accused have been arrested from Mirpur Khas last night, who were identified as Wajih and Abdul Naeem.

Omar Shahid said that in 2003, the two boys had gone to India for training in terrorism. They were given all the training from riding camels to handing over weapons.

Guns, rifles, a hand grenade, two pistols and several rounds were recovered from their possession.

“We called Anis advocate twice and interrogated him. His mobile phones were also taken in to custody for forensic, he will be called again and his bank account details are required,” he said.

Omar Shahid said that Anis Advocate and Wasay Jalil used to send the boys abroad. The identity card of Anis Advocate was also blocked. If the investigating officer wants, they can be arrested for further investigation, he added.

The DIG CTD said that between 1998 and 2002, at the behest of the founder of MQM, Anis Advocate and Wasay Jalil had set up a system to train workers from interior Sindh through RAW.

He further said that APMSO President Mahmood Siddiqui is still in India, who is in charge of liaising between the founder MQM and RAW.

DIG CTD Omar Shahid also said that there were six accused in this group, out of which 5 have been arrested. And added that the number of people who went to India for training is very high.

Three suspect terrorists were arrested a few weeks ago. Three were arrested from Hyderabad while two others were arrested from Mirpur Khas yesterday.

two weeks back CTC has also summoned Farooq Sattar in this case.
