IHC to hear appeal of convicts in Imran Farooq murder case
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed for hearing the appeals of the three convicts in the murder case of ex MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq.
A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Babar Sattar will hear the appeals on Monday,
Three convicts Moazzam Ali, Khalid Shamim and Syed Mohsin Ali have filed appeals against the sentence.
The court has issued notices to the parties seeking their response.
The accused have requested the apex court to quash the ATC’s June 18, 2020 decision.
The anti-terrorism court had sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs one million.
