Zardari for no resignation, suggests jail Bharo move

LAHORE: PPP supremo and former president Asif Ali Zardari has suggested to launch Jail Bharo Tahreek, and said that the PDM should consider court arrest of some 150 of its member parties instead of resigning from the National Assembly.

Talking to a PPP leader from Punjab, Zardari said, the resignations will create more space for the ruling party, and to weaken the opposition parties in the system. Asif Zardari said that when all the PDM members of the National Assembly as well as thousands of activists of opposition parties would be arrested, there would be momentum of movement against the government and people across the country would take to the streets. This will bring the government to its knees.

Meanwhile, PPP leader from Punjab Aitzaz Ahsan has said that Maryam Nawaz’s narrative dominates the PDM. In press statement he said Imran is not the best Prime Minister but he is better than Nawaz Sharif. Maryam Nawaz is new in politics and is very fast. He acknowledged that Maryam Nawaz got big powers in a short time and got many followers.

He forecast there will be a big (political) earthquake in Pakistan and those who have hoped for it, will hurt them and said that the PDM should consider court arrest of some 150 of its member parties instead of resigning from the National Assembly.
