What will be Power sharing formula, if no trust move succeeds?

LAHORE, Feb 24,2022- While opposition parties continue to hold meetings for a no-confidence motion against PM Khan, different formulas of power sharing are being debated.

PML-N has not agreed on the name of Pervez Elahi for the post of Punjab Chief Minister.

The United Opposition has agreed to launch a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, with former President Asif Ali Zardari tasked with settling issues with government members and allies.

Leaders of opposition parties continue to hold meetings for a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sources said that 11 members of the National Assembly are currently in touch with the PML-Q and these members will move forward only through the PML-Q.

Meanwhile, the PPP is also in touch with some members of the Assembly, around 25 members of the National Assembly are in touch with the opposition and the PML-Q.

Power sharing formula

According to sources, if no confidence motion succeeded what will be power sharing formula? PPP and JUI are proposing to form a PML-N government at the center and hand over the Punjab Chief Ministership to Pervez Elahi. Sindh will remain with PPP. There will be further sharing in Balochistan.

Opposition form 9 member committee

On the other hand, for no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister, the three major opposition political parties have formed a nine-member committee which will decide the final course of action to bring a no-confidence motion.

The committee would include three leaders from PML-N, PPP and JUI-F.
