Sindh seeks services of 380 doctors from Punjab to serve in flood districts

Karachi: Sindh Health department has appointed 241 doctors in flood affected districts under Sindh flood emergency.

The services of 241 doctors who have completed post graduate training have been handed over to hospitals of different districts and notification has been issued.

241 doctors have been ordered to join the appointed places within three days on emergency basis, warning of action against doctors who do not join within three days.

According to the notification, doctors have been appointed in other disaster affected districts including Badin, Dadu, Hyderabad and Jamshoro.

More than 25,75000 people caught different diseases due to flood in Sindh, says provincial health department.
According to the Sindh Health Department, 12027 cases of respiratory, asthma and chest diseases have been reported in the province during 24 hours, while 19746 cases of various acute diseases have been reported.

The Health Department has said that more than 17,919 cases of diarrhea were reported during the last 24 hours, while 4 cases of dog bites have been reported.
