Over 2.57 m people caught diseases after floods in Sindh

More than 25,75000 people caught different diseases due to flood in Sindh, says provincial  health department.

According to the Sindh Health Department, 12027 cases of respiratory, asthma and chest diseases have been reported in the province during 24 hours, while 19746 cases of various acute diseases have been reported.

The Health Department has said that more than 17,919 cases of diarrhea were reported during the last 24 hours, while 4 cases of dog bites have been reported.

The Sindh Health Department says that during this period, 2,622 cases of malaria have been reported in Sindh, 64 cases of dengue have been reported, while 19,324 cases of various eye diseases have been reported.

The Health Department also says that 40,498 people with other diseases have been brought to different medical camps.

PDMA Sindh’s report

PDMA Sindh also issued a report on the flood damage.

PDMA Sindh has stated in the submitted report of flood disasters that 678 people have died and 8422 have been injured in various accidents from June 20 to September 17.
