KARACHI, (June 22, 2021): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the Sindh Succession Programme at the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) Mega Center here on Tuesday.
Addressing the function, Murad Ali Shah said that Sindh was the first province to launch a succession certificate in collaboration with NADRA.
He said that earlier succession certificates were issued by the courts, the courts used to issue succession certificates in 3 to 6 months and sometimes in 5 years.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that according to the Supreme Court, 30% of the total workload of the court is on workload succession certificate.
He said that the law for issuance of inheritance certificate was made by NADRA, we fulfilled all the legal requirements and facilitated the people.
He further said that Sindh government enacted legislation and set up the system in collaboration with NADRA.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that inheritance certificates would be issued from NADRA centers from June 25.
He said the target was to vaccinate 18 million people in the next three months.
He further said that the bill on protection of journalists was returned by the Governor of Sindh with objections, however, if the objections of the Governor of Sindh gained weight, it would be looked into.
