Shafqat Mehmood once again trending

KARACHI, News Desk Jan 17,2022- Due to the continuous increase in the corona test positive rate in the country, the people have demanded the closure of educational institutions from the Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood.

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood is once again among the top trends on micro-blogging website Twitter.

In the wake of increasing cases of corona virus, provinces will decide about closure of schools.

While the NCOC has decided to implement new SOPs for areas with 10% or more corona cases across the country.

The new SOPs will be finalized in consultation with the provinces. Smart lockdown or decisions such as opening a school with one exception will be made in consultation with the provinces.

A meeting was held at the National Command and Operations Center under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar. Dr. Faisal Sultan also attended the meeting through video link while Ministers of Education and Ministers of Health were also present.

The meeting decided to strictly implement SOPs to curb the spread of Corona.

The NCOC meeting considered the Corona situation and educational activities during the current wave of Omicron.
