PTI female activists active in door to door campaign

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi Women’s Wing has launched by-election campaign for party candidate Amjad Afridi in NA-249 constituency.  

Led by Karachi president Fiza Zeeshan, women vice president Samina Khattak, district presidents Asma Jahangir, Shazia Jafrani, Sanobar Farhan, Rasha Tariq, Jabina Zameer, Parveen Murad, Azmi Sharjeel, Farah Sohail and actively participated in campaign and went door to door foe vote on the occasion.

Karachi women’s wing president Fiza Zeeshan while talking to media said that Imran Khan’s message is being conveyed from door to door in NA-249 election campaign.

PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz was scheduled to visit the city to attend the election rally of PML-N candidate Miftah Ismail, but she has called off her visit to Karachi due to pandemic situation.

Polling for Karachi’s NA-249 will be held on April 29. PPP’s Qadir Mandokhel, PML-N’s Miftah Ismail and Amjad Afridi from PTI are major contestants.

The National Assembly seat fell vacant after PTI’s Faisal Vawda resigned following his election as a senator last month.
ANP and JUI-F withdrew candidate for the NA-249, to support PML-N’s Ismail.
