NAB team returns after 15 hours without arresting Siraj Durrani

The NAB team returned after 15 hours without arresting Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani. The NAB team reached Agha Siraj Durrani’s house in Karachi at 4 pm yesterday.

Sindh High Court Karachi has rejected the bail plea of Sindh Assembly Speaker on Wednesday.

Siraj Durrani’s employees continued to resist, remained outside the house all night, supporters also had breakfast at Siraj Durrani’s house while the NAB team was not allowed inside the house.

The Sindh High Court had yesterday issued a written decision on the bail pleas of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani and others. The court had rejected the bail pleas of 11 accused including Agha Siraj Durrani. The 16-page written judgment was written by Justice Iqbal Kalhoro.

The written decision said that the NAB had alleged that Agha Siraj Durrani had bought property in the name of children with illegal income. According to the written decision of the court, there is a difference of Rs 1.61 billion in the income and assets of Agha Siraj.

Talking to media outside his house in Karachi, Agha Shahbaz Durrani, son of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, said that there are only women in the house, only one lady searcher should go and check, it is not possible for these people to go.
