Ministers committee says, If needed work at Thar Coal Block-I be stopped

MITHI – Jul 07, 2021- : The Sindh government’s committee has announced to withdraw anti-terrorism cases against laborers’ heirs and protesters and added that there are many complaints about the Thar Coal Block-I company, we are issuing show cause notices to the administration.  If need arises, work at Block -I will be stopped.

This told the three member committee of ministers to media after meeting with Dodo Bheel’s heirs and other victims.
The ministers’ committee reached Islamkot on Wednesday.
On the directives of Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh Chief Minister constituted a three member committee consisting Energy minister Imtiaz Shaikh, Syed Sardar Ali Shah and Nawab Taimour Talpur.
The promised to bring Kashif commander and other accused to justice in the Dodo Bheel case.
The minister said that the report will be handed over to the Chief Minister after meeting with DIG Hyderabad, Commissioner Mirpur Khas and others.
The committee will also make recommendations for resolving the issue.
“We apologize to the journalists for the inappropriate behavior of the police.” The ministers said. However committee refuse to remove the SSP Tharparkar, as was demanded by the journalists and heirs of Dodo Bheel.
Chief Justice of Sindh High Court has taken the notice of protest of Bheel community and alleged murder of Dodo Bheel reports in the media and sought report from District and Sessions Judge Tharparkar. The CJ of SHC also sought report from DIG Mirpurkhas and SSP Tharparkar and also asked them to personally appear in the SHC on July 13.
