Lollywood star Meera to join politics

Lollywood’s one of the most popular actress Meera has announced to enter politics.

Actress Meera told a private TV channel that she has decided to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Meera said she would soon hold a joint press conference with PTI leaders.

She further said that she is stepping into politics as he is disillusioned with the world of showbiz.

Denies mental illness reports

In April last the local media reported that she has been admitted to a mental health center in the United States for treatment.

However she denied such reports in an interview with BBC. She said “It’s all bullshit (it’s all nonsense) … Why did I go crazy? I’m crazy, my enemy … ‘

Meera reaches Police QH for justice

Meera is in a property dispute and has been in news since last six months or so.

In June lollywood actress Meera reached the CCPO head office Lahore to demand justice following the harassment her mother endured during her absence.

In a statement, Meera claims, “I am meeting the police officials for justice in the case registered. I am ure that I and my family will get justice.”

Meera’s childhood home was raided by armed gunmen who harassed her mother in a bid to seize control of her property inheritance.

Makhdoom Amin Fahim introduced Zohra to Mian Shahid

Meera’s mother Shafqat Zohra disclosed at a press conference in June this year that the late political leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim introduced her to Mian Shahid 15 years ago and since then he has been like her son.

Accused Mian Shahid Mehmood had released a video statement in which he said that I am a British citizen, I bought a property from my mother Shafqat Zohra for Rs 100 million.
