Mehwish Hayat hints to become Prime Minister
Leading actress and of Pakistan film and TV industry the recipient Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, Mahwish Hayat has hinted at entering politics.
A video clip of an interview with Mehwish Hayat on Geo News program ‘Ek Din Geo Ke Saath’ is going viral on social media.
Expressing hope, the actress said, “When Imran Khan can become the Prime Minister with being a cricketer, an actress can also become the Prime Minister.”
He further said that “I am not challenging Imran Khan but if anyone is going to take his seat then I am a candidate for it.”

Mehwish Hayat is the recipient of Lux Style Award and was honoured by the Government of Pakistan with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2019.
Family background
Mehwish was born on 6 January 1988 in Karachi. She studies in Karachi University.
Her mother, Rukhsar Hayat, was a popular television actress during the 1980s, her eldest brother Zeeshan is a singer-composer while her older sister, Afsheen, is a singer as well. Another elder brother, Danish Hayat, is an actor and, through him, she’s the sister-in-law of Faiza Ashfaq, a model.
She is much known for her roles in films such as the comedies and Chhalawa (2019).
