LAHORE (May 28, 2021): Lahore High Court on Friday, has termed detention of Amir Saad Rizvi of banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik justified and rejected petition against his detention.

The Lahore High Court said in its order that the detention order of Hafiz Saad Rizvi is normal.

The court said the provincial government’s action against Saad Rizvi was for peace.

The court ruled that the jurisdiction of the high court is limited when the government issues a detention order.  

The LHC also said that it was reported that the protest would have resumed as soon as Sadr Rizvi was released.

The court in its judgment also said that the entire week was marred by law and order due to the banned TLP protests.
