Eight dacoits killed in ongoing operation in Shikarpur
Raid for arrest of Tegho Khan Teghai in Karachi
Police killed eight dacoits in an ongoing operation against kidnappers in the Garhi Tegho area of Shikarpur district, DIG Police Larkana Nasir Aftab said on late Monday.
In a statement, a spokesperson for AIG Police Sukkur said that police used drone cameras to identify and destroy their hideouts.
“The operation will continue until all the dacoits are brought to justice,” read the statement.
Police in Karachi have arrested Tegho Khan Teghani, a tribal chief, along with his son and a nephew for patronizing dacoits.
Earlier Shikarpur police launched and operation for recovery of two abductees from the dacoits. But this operation did not succeed as three policemen were killed in an exchange of fire with the dacoits in the kutcha area of Shikarpur district.
