Corona SOPs e implemented in Karachi, Hyderabad

KARACHI, June 24,2022- The health department has written to the commissioners of Karachi and Hyderabad expressing concern over the rise in corona virus cases.

The Health Department has directed the Commissioners of Karachi and Hyderabad to implement Corona SOPs in both the cities immediately.

The letter from the health department called for mandatory implementation of masks and social distancing.

The health department said that the vaccination cards of the citizens should be checked and not more than 70% of the public transport passengers should be filled.

Corona sub variant BA5, BA4 spread risk

The health department said in a statement that the two cities were at risk of spreading corona virus variants BA4 and BA5.

On the other hand, officials of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) say that the number of corona cases in Sindh has increased to 6.10%.
