SSP writes letter to DIG Police dismiss case against Blaochistan MPAs

QUETTA (June 22, 2021): 14 MPAs of opposition parties are present in Quetta’s Bijli Road police station. Opposition MPAs had reached Bijli Road police station yesterday to court arrest.

A case has been registered against 17 opposition members of the Balochistan Assembly for rioting at the Assembly building on June 18.

The PMAs had reached Bijli Road police station yesterday to make an arrest in this regard. ۔

One of the 17 nominated MPAs, Abdul Wahid Siddiqui, did not reach the police station due to his injuries while another MPA Nasrullah, left the police station after hearing the news of the death of party leader Usman Kakar.

Similarly, a woman MPA nominated in the FIR had gone home from the police station at night.

Earlier in the night, a delegation of treasury benches led by Interior Minister Zia Langu reached the police station, but despite their insistence, the opposition members refused to leave the station.

Opposition should have read budget – Bushra Rind

Balochistan’s Parliamentary Secretary Information Bushra Rind has said that it would have been better if the opposition had protested while presenting the budget. Chief Minister Jam Kamal has asked the opposition to apologize to the House for the commotion, hold talks and not blackmail.

Speaking in Geo News programme, Parliamentary Information Secretary Bushra Rind said that if the opposition had opened the budget book and protested in the assembly, it would have made sense. The opposition did not know anything about the budget. ۔

Bushra Rind said that there were videos of riots in the assembly premises of the opposition, the opposition had taken the assembly hostage and locked the assembly.
