Protests are continuing across province Balochistan, by the opposition on budget

QUETTA, (June 17, 2021): Protests are continuing across the province Balochistan, as the opposition in budget is being ignored. Major highways have been closed and traffic has been suspended.

The members of the opposition were present in the protest camp.

Opposition lawmakers began protesting two days ago against being ignored in the next budget.

Opposition lawmakers lamented that they were not taken into confidence over the forthcoming budget.

Opposition parties have also blocked major highways across the province over the same issue.

In Chaman, the united opposition went on strike and staged a sit-in at Kozhik Top and Syed Hameed Cross.

Traffic on Quetta-Chaman Highway was suspended and queues of vehicles formed.

Opposition parties also staged sit-ins in Khanozai, Muslim Bagh and Qila Saifullah and closed Quetta-Zhob highway.

A sit-in was also staged in Mastung, which closed Quetta-Karachi and Quetta-Taftan national highways.
