Has Balochistan Governor refused to resign?

QUETTA: Information pouring from political circles of provincial capital said that Governor Balochistan Justice (retd) Amanullah Yasinzai has refused to resign from his post.

According to sources, the Governor of Balochistan in his response to the letter written by the Prime Minister has told the Prime Minister that politics is not your business, you do not know whether it is the responsibility of the President of Pakistan or the Prime Minister ask to resign, a leading daily reported the version of Yasinzai.

Retd Justice Yasinzai reportedly said first of all, get the resignation of Chief Minister Jam Kamal. The status of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister is not such that they can get me to resign. If it comes down to it, I am also a local resident of Quetta, Balochistan. I don’t like spoon-feeding and chasing anyone, and don’t expect me to.

Governor further said in his message that Balochistan is not an inherited province to be run by everyone and added, choose the names of non-local people for the governorship of your choice. When it comes to non-locals, let us hear that we, the local Pashtuns and Baloch, can go to any extent. History is our witness.

He believed that Balochistan Awami Party was conspiring against me and this conspiracy will fail.

Following PM Imran Khan’s visit of Balochistan PM asked Governor Balochistan Amanullah Yasinzai to resign.

Why Governor was asked to resign?

Balochistan’s political circles said that since the last two years, the local chapter of the PTI had demanding change the governor in Balochistan.

The PTI politicians in the province wanted their man at the very top seat, to implement their political party’s program.

The insistence of the local PTI chapter to get their own governor increased soon after the Senate elections debacle.
