Bahria rioting case: Action Committee leaders with 400 + activists challaned

KARCAHI – Jul 06, 2021- Sindhi nationalist leaders along with 400-500 workers were challan in  Bahria Town rioting case here on Tuesday.

Police submitted interim challans of two cases regarding rioting at Bahria Town in the Anti-terrorism court administrator judge in which police declared 400-500 accused, including Mushtaq Sarki, as absconders.

Sindh Action Committee leaders Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, Dr Qadir Magsi, and Abdul Khaliq Junejo who are on pre- arrest bail, police said these accused are are not cooperating in the investigation.

In all 39 accused including Ameer Ahmed, Mashooq Ali, Shafqat Ali, Sanaan Qureshi have been arrested in the case.

According to challan there are15 witnesses, including complainant Aftab Hussain. The complainant is owner of Aftab Estate Agency.

Challan text said that on June 6, some 8,000 to 10,000 activists, including nationalist leaders Qadir Magsi, Sanaan Qureshi, Jalal Mehmood Shah, Abdul Khaliq Junejo and Mushtaq Sarki, staged a sit-in.

When the gate caught fire, there was smoke everywhere. The text of the challan.

To spread terror, the workers went to the shops and started vandalizing, the text of the challan said.

It further said that the location of accused Qureshi from CDR has also been found to be Super Highway and CCTV footage also proved that the Sanaan Qureshi was found speaking on the Super Highway.

Witnesses have also identified the five accused in the court of Judicial Magistrate Malir.
