4000 cameras installed in Malir district

KARACHI – Jul 6, 2021 – More than 4,000 cameras have been installed in Malir district of Karachi. The police are adopting a new strategy to curb crime by installing CCTV cameras in the suburbs.

More than 4,000 cameras have been installed in Malir district.

According to SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur, a command and control room consisting of 50 cameras has been set up in Steel Town. SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur said the cameras would help monitor criminals.

Safe Karachi Conference

Earlier, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail concluding session of the “Safe Karachi Conference” while talking to media said that the “Safe Karachi Project” aims to ensure the security of the city, the safety of peaceful people through modern technology as well as enhance the capacity of law enforcement agencies.
He said that the aims and objectives of the Safe City project in Karachi were to prevent crime, improve law and order and increase tax collection.

10,000 camera to be installed in Karachi

The conference was told that the project includes a highly integrated secure urban system under which large-scale surveillance cameras will be installed and surveillance will be made possible in the city. Ten thousands of surveillance cameras to be installed in the city.
