200 protesters booked for raising anti-state slogan: Protest against Machhar Colony incident

KARACHI, Nov 01, 2022–: Around 200 protesters are booked for anti-state sloganeering in protest against Machhar Colony incident.

A case has been registered against those who raised anti-state slogans under the guise of protest against the gruesome murder of two employees of a mobile phone company in Machhar Colony, of ​​Karachi.

A protest was held outside the Karachi Press Club on the Machhar colony incident yesterday.

During the protest by various political parties, more than a dozen people raised anti-state slogans.

According to the FIR, the accused tried to incite about 200 protestors to commit violence.

The accused also tried to incite the protesters to riot.

The accused nominated in the FIR included Inam Abbasi, Elahi Bakhsh Bakak, Sarang Joyo, Ejaz Samito, Azad Jatoi, Nizam Noorani, Majeed Lond, Rashid Khoso and their other unknown associates.

A case has been registered against the accused and the investigation has been started.

The Sindh cabinet took notice of the incident and IG Sindh Police briefed the cabinet about the gruesome incident. The Sindh government also announced rupees 50 million as aid to victim families.

Sindh High court also called IG Sindh Police, Additional IG and SS Kemari to present the report about the investigation of the case.

A shocking incident took place in Machar Colony when two employees of a telecom company were tortured and stoned to death by local residents on the charge of kidnapping.

The victims were identified as Ayman Javed originally from Thatt and Ishaq Pamhwar from Naushre Feroze. The deceased belonged to a cellular company and were checking the signals of the towers in the area.
