LARKANA: Vice Chancellor of Benazir Bhutto Medical University Dr Anila Atta-ur-Rehman has cancelled the leaves of all employees of the university and the Chandka Medical College, however she has been allowed ex Pakistan leave.

A 4th year medical student Noshin Shah died in mysterious circumstances and investigation into the death is in initial stage.

Noshin Shah, fourth year student of MBBS who was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her hostel room at Chandka Medical College.

Dr Syed Hidayatullah Kazmi, the victim`s father, and his brother Syed Fida Hussain Shah said at a press conference at their residence here on Saturday that they had no trust in the fact-finding committee formed by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University`s vice chancellor Dr Anila Atta Rehman as well as police teams investigating the case.

Father has firm belief his daughter has not committed suicide, she has been brutally murdered.

Universities and Board Department of the Sindh government which is looking after the higher educational institutions has shown nonseriousness   towards the incident and allowed VC to go to UK.

VC Anila Atta-ur-Rehman granted 10 days leave from visiting UK, when Noshin’s high profile case investigation is pending and questions are raised about the Dr Anila’s administration. 

SSP Larkana visits residence of victim’s father

Sindhi media reported quoting the SSP Larkana Imran Qureshi that the ceiling fan was far above the table and how the rope was tied in the fan. Similarly the direction of dead body’s face is also raises questions.

SSP Larkana arrived Dadu and visited Noshin Shah’s house, met deceased’s father Hidayatullah. He also discussed details of progress in the case.

 The university administration has written a letter for a judicial inquiry into the incident. 

MPA Nand Gokalani drew the attention of from Chandka Medical College hostel drew attention of Sindh Assembly to the case of Noshin Shah.
