Noshin’s death: Asphyxia caused by hanging with rope, Preliminary autopsy report

Preliminary autopsy report of the tragic death of Chandka Medical College student, Noshin Kazmi has been issued. The initial post-mortem report stated that the cause of death of the student was Asphyxia.

Report said that Asphyxia caused by hanging with rope (ligature material) ante mortem in nature and sufficient to cause the death in ordinary course of nature.

Asphyxia is a condition arising when the body is deprived of oxygen, suffocation, causing unconsciousness or death.

No violence was reported on the student’s body. The samples of visra have been taken from body for toxicological, histopathological examination.

After final analysis of their chemistry and histopathology, final post-mortem report will be issued.

Chandka College and related institutions closed

Following the incident hostels were sealed and notification was issued by VC Anila Ata-ur-Rehman. Students were directed to vacate the hostels immediately.

.Institutions and hostels were closed for indefinite period and examinations were also postponed.

Medical Student Noshin’s body was laid to rest in Dadu

Hostels including BB Asifa Dental College, Benazir College of Nursing and Institute of Pharmacy Physiotherapy have been closed. However only Ghulam Muhammad Maher Medical College Sukkur will remain open.

Police interrogated 19 students of Girls’ Hostel

Initially Police in Larkana interrogated of 19 students of Chandika Girls’ Hostel in Noshin case. No girl claimed to be her friend.

According to SSP Larkana, Imran Qureshi, Noshin’s phone was sent for forensic examination, where in more than one SIMs were used. According to police, the deceased had made partition inside the student dormitory room, to separate from her roommate

According to the SSP, the teachers and classmates of Noshin were also examined.
