ISLAMABAD, April 9,2022- Speaker Asad Qaisar of National Assembly has resigned.
He announced it in the House. He asked Ayaz Sadiq to preside over the session.
Imran Khan decided not to resign
Prime Minister Imran Khan decided not to resign under any circumstances.
In an emergency meeting of the Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister decided not to resign.
The cabinet approved to share threatening letters with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Chairman of the Senate.
PM likely to reach Parliament
The Prime Minister’s Chamber has been opened and Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to arrive in the National Assembly.

No move of Imran Khan will be accepted: Opposition
The United Opposition has said in its latest statement that Imran Khan is no longer the Prime Minister, he has lost all constitutional, legal and moral authority.
The united opposition said that any action of Imran Khan will be accepted by the law, neither the opposition nor the people. When Imran Khan is no longer the Prime Minister, he has lost state or governmental authority.
The Speaker advised to hold a vote
During the break, Speaker Asr Qaiser summoned high level officials of the National Assembly Secretariat.
According to sources, a meeting of high level officials was held to hold a no-confidence vote.
Sources said that the Speaker, Secretary, Additional Secretary Legislation and other officials were present.
Sources said that the Secretary, Additional Secretary advised the Speaker National Assembly to vote today.
