Slain Dr. Birbal’s assistant Qaratul-Ain arrested

KARACHI, Apr 2,2023 – In the murder case of ophthalmologist Dr. Birbal in Karachi, the police arrested deceased’s assistant, Dr. Qaratul-Ain, who was injured, along with the slain doctor.

SSP City Arif Aziz said that doubt was expressed in the case on the injured assistant Dr. Qaratul-Ain and added that that the statement the injured assistant recorded is also suspicious.

According to SSP City, mobile phone records of the injured assistant have also been sought.

Ophthalmologist Birbal Ginani shot dead in Karachi

The ophthalmologist Dr. Birbal Ginani was shot dead near Lyari Expressway on Thursday, the doctor’s assistant . Qaratul-Ain was injured in the firing.

Dr. Birbal’s heirs suspected involvement of Qarat Al-Ain and her brother in the murder. A case was  registered at the Garden Police Station on the complaint of the deceased’s brother.

In the text of the FIR, it is said that at the time of the attack, Qurat-Ain was in the car with Dr. Birbal, It is suspected that Qurat-Ain and her brother may be involved in the murder.

Qurat-Ain and her brother have been arrested.

Birbal Ginani was also Medical Superintendent of Spencer Eye Hospital, Lyari, he retired from the post of Public Health City Government one and a half year ago.
