Ophthalmologist Birbal Ginani shot dead in Karachi
Slain Dr. Birbal’s assistant Qaratul-Ain arrested
KARACHI, Mar 30,2023 – Renowned Ophthalmologist and former Senior Director Health and Public Health Dr. Birbal Ginani was shot dead on the Lyari Expressway.
Dr. Birbal’s assistant was injured in the incident.
Birbal Ginani was also Medical Superintendent of Spencer Eye Hospital, Lyari, he retired from the post of Public Health City Government one and a half year ago.
The deceased Dr. Birbal had recently obtained the degree of Masters in Public Health along with his daughter. He belonged ot Snajhoro, district Sanghar and was from Meghwar community.
The target klling of Dr. Birbal Ginani, who belongs to the minority community, took place where two police stations are bordered.
The jurisdiction dispute between Garden and Soldier Bazar police stations continued till the last moment.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tisori has sought a report of incident from Additional IG Karachi.
