Senior Citizens Council approved MoU with NADRA for Azadi card

KARACHI Aug 24,2021- Senior Citizens Council accorded approval for signing of MoU with NADRA for implementation of Azadi Card scheme at meeting here on Tuesday.

Sindh Minister for Social Welfare Muhammad Sajid Jokhio presided over a meeting of Senior Citizens Council. The meeting was attended by members of the council who included among others members of provincial assembly and Secretaries from concerned departments of provincial government.

The council was briefed by Secretary SWD regarding different welfare measures being taken by the provincial government for senior citizens including issuance of Azadi Card.

Addressing the meeting, the minister for Social Welfare highlighted the commitment of provincial government especially Chairman PPP and chief minister sindh for the cause and welfare of senior citizens. Minister also directed the SWD to expedite implementation on different welfare schemes for the masses.

The council accorded approval for signing of MoU with NADRA for implementation of Azadi Card scheme.
