KARACHI: PPP will take out a rally in Baldia Town on April 26 in connection with the by-election campaign of its candidate.
A meeting of PPP Karachi division office bearers was held at the People’s Secretariat. The meeting presided by Saeed Ghani reviewed the preparations for the by-election of NA-249 and besides forming various committees for the big election meeting on April 26, a strategy was formulated for the by-election of NA-249.
Qadir Khan Mandokhail is party candidate in by-election.
Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, PPP Sindh General Secretary Waqar Mehdi, Karachi Secretary Javed Nagori, District West President Ali Ahmad Jan, PPP Women’s Wing Karachi President MNA Dr Shahida Rahmani, PPP Karachi Deputy Secretary Information Asif Khan and others were present in the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani said that people are uniting on the platform of PPP in view of PPP’s public service. We will solve all the other problems of the people, including drinking water.
PPP Sindh Secretary General Waqar Mehdi said that the federal government is not interested in the problems of Karachi and Sindh. In future, people will see jobs in Karachi area. Differentiation believes in service will solve the problems of Baldia Town.
PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz was scheduled to visit the city to attend the election rally of PML-N candidate Miftah Ismail, but she has called off her visit to Karachi due to pandemic situation.
Polling for Karachi’s NA-249 will be held on April 29. The seat had fallen vacant after PTI’s Faisal Vawda resigned from the National Assembly from his Senate seat.

ANP and JUI-F withdrew candidate for the NA-249, to support PML-N’s Ismail.
