The Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army (ISPR) has informed that the wreckage of the missing helicopter of Pakistan Army has been found in Khuzdar district of Balochistan, all 6 people on board the helicopter were martyred.

According to ISPR, 6 officers and jawans including Corps Commander 12 Corps Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali have been martyred in the helicopter accident.

The Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army has said that the martyrs include DG Pakistan Coast Guard Major General Amjad, Commander Engineer 12 Corps Brigadier Muhammad Khalid, Major Saeed Ahmed, Major Muhammad Talha Manan and Crew Chief Naik Mudassar Fayyaz.

Earlier, Police have confirmed that wreckage of  an army helicopter carrying Corps Commander Quetta has been found.

According to DIG Khuzdar, Parvez Umrani, the police officials have found the wreckage of the helicopter of Corps Commander Quetta Lt. General Sarfraz ALi.

He also told that the wreckage of the said helicopter was found near the shrine of Sassui Punhu in Musa Goth.

It should be noted that the media wing of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) said yesterday that a military helicopter has gone missing in Balochistan, in which six officers including Corps Commander Quetta were on board. The officers were on a relief mission to flood victims in Lasbela.

The military helicopter of Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali and others lost contact with Air Traffic Control while coming from Lasbela to Karachi.

Among the people on board were Director General Pakistan Coast Guard, Major General Amjad, Engineer Brigadier Khalid of 12 Corps, Pilot Major Saeed, Assistant Pilot Major Talha and Chief Naik Mudassar.
