PMLN march to enter Islamabad a day after PTI rally

Maryam Nawaz will lead the PMLN march

LAHORE, March 24,2022- The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) has moved forward the date for its march on Islamabad. The marchers will enter the federal capital on March 28, a day after the PTI holds a rally in the city.

Maryam Nawaz will be leading the PMLN march from a container tailor.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to announce a major move on March 27.

The opposition party had planned the protest against inflation in connection with marches being organized by other opposition parties, especially the Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-Fazl.

All the marchers were originally scheduled to arrive in Islamabad from across Pakistan on March 23. However, the opposition leaders agreed to move forward the date to allow the OIC foreign ministers summit and the Pakistan Day parade to happen without any disruption.

PMLN’s marchers will now leave Lahore on March 26 and enter Islamabad on March 28, a day after the planned PTI rally in Islamabad.

It is still not clear if the PMLN march would go ahead as planned, as Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to announce a major move on March 27, though he categorically ruled the possibility of him stepping down and saying that he holds trump card.

Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shehbaz will address people along the route of the march from the container.
