parliamentary special committee set up for reference against the Chief Justice

ISLAMABAD, May 16,2023- The National Assembly approved the motion to file a reference against the Chief Justice in the Supreme Judicial Council.

The motion was moved by Dr. Shazia Subia. The members unanimously approved the motion to form a special committee. The motion moved by Dr. Shazia Subia was approved by the House.

The members include Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, Khursheed Junejo, Shahnaz Baloch, Salahuddin and Maulana Salahuddin Ayubi.

Besides, after the arrest of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan in the National Assembly, the ‘Jinnah House’ general headquarters (J A resolution condemning attacks on HQ) and government and military installations was passed.
