Noshin Shah Case: University administration questions disclosure of DNA report

LARKANA, Feb 11, 2022- A high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana Prof. Dr. Anila Attaur Rehman.

The meeting criticized the disclosure of the forensic /DNA of Noshin Shah.

The meeting termed this report an attempt to tarnish the image of the institution on the one hand, and on the other hand, it is illegal to tamper with the elements of humility without the consent of the court.

The university administration meeting further held this report attempts have been made to influence the judicial inquiry into the Nimrata case, with the university’s legal expert speaking on the legal side at the meeting, saying the punishment taken for any case without a laboratory order is not comparable to any other case. Neither a laboratory can make a recommendation on its own, nor does a laboratory have such a mandate.

The meeting observed that the judicial inquiry into the Noshin Shah case has already started, at the request of the university.

Histo Pathologist Dr. Muhammad Wasif Saleem, University Hostel Provost, Security Incharge, Legal Advisor Sarfraz Ali Abbasi, Officers and Media Coordinator also attended.
