Nasir Shah asks alternate water sources for Kemari, West districts

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said keeping in view the population growth, alternate sources of water should also be identified to meet the water needs of Kemari and West districts.

Presided over an important meeting on Kemari district here on Monday, The Local Government minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said, Kemari development plan has been made in accordance with the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

PPP MNA Qadir Patel, Secretary Local Government Syed Najam Shah, MD Water Board Asadullah Khan, DG KDA Nasir Abbas Soomro, DG LDA Ishaq Khuhro, Administrator DMC West and Kemari and others were present at the meeting.

Sindh Local Government Minister said during distribution of resources between District West and Kemari anyone of these district will be deprived from its right.

The minster said the development work in Kemari has been accelerated.

He directed that construction of Masan Road and Hawke’s Bay Main Road should be completed. Likewise the construction of a jetty on Baba Bhatt Island should be expedited, people are facing severe difficulties travelling.

He pointed out that Asif Ali Zardari had gifted RO plants to the people of Kemari, and added that RO plants of Machhar Colony, Sikndarabad and Kamila Chowk should be made operational.
