KARACHI – Jul- 03, 2021 – Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated 3.5 km road from Saudabad Chowrangi to Thadho Naalo and Soomar Kandani Goth here on Saturday.

130 meter RCC bridges have also been constructed on this road, which is constructed under the Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Project in collaboration with the World Bank and project was launched on July 5, 2019.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the project has been completed at a cost of Rs 1.2 billion.

According to Karachi Transformation Study, Sindh government has built roads and bridges in three areas of the city.

In these three areas, development works were carried out in Saddar Downtown, Malir and Korangi, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said.

Murad Ali Shah said, this new road connects the rural area of ​​Malir on the other side of Thadho with urban areas and added the construction of this road will improve the rural life and economy of Malir.

Shah said that Saudabad road is 2.9 km two lane road, while Saudabad Chowrangi has also been redesigned to facilitate traffic,

Chief Minister said that along with this road, a walkway has also been constructed along with one kilometer green belt, and added the walkway is 9 meters wide with excellent lighting, street furniture and two bus stops.

Further mentioning the main feature of the project Shah said, 200 poles have been installed all over the road and 140 watt LED lights have been installed, while drinking water lines have been laid on both sides of the road. In addition parking for 50 vehicles has also been made along the road.

The Sindh CM said an urban forest has also been set up near the bridge, Sindh where 1000 neem, glower, and bougainvillea trees have been planted.

The urban forest and bridge has enhanced the beauty of the area, while road construction has increased the value of property in the area Murad Ali Shah said.

This road walkway and sitting area has become an excellent place of entertainment, Chief Minister added.

Provincial Minister for Information and Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Chairperson PND Shereen Narejo and other officials were present on the occasion.
