MQM presents its grievances to Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Oct 18,2022- Sindh Governor Kamran Tissori and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Tuesday.

Reports said that the MQM leadership expressed their concerns about the non-implementation of the agreement with the Pakistan People’s Party in front of the Prime Minister.

According to the sources, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Kamran Tissori presented their grievances to Shehbaz Sharif that if nothing is done in this regard, there is no justification for them to be in the government.

The MQM leadership complained that it has become difficult for the Prime Minister to respond to their voters and the people.

According to the sources, the Muttahida leadership demanded of the Prime Minister to intervene in to matter and make the PPP implement the agreement.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured Governor Sindh and MQM chief to remove their concerns.

Last week, after the governorship of Sindh, the Pakistan People’s Party in Sindh has offered MQM to join the Sindh cabinet.
Reports said in this regard, the preliminary talks between leaders of both the parties have been completed, while final talks will be held between the major leaders of the two parties in two to three days.

Sources said that the MQM has reiterated its old demand for the Ministry of Local Government in Sindh, the ministries for which the MQM has negotiated include Universities and Boards, IT, but if given three ministries, the MQM two advisers will also be included in the Sindh cabinet. There is a strong possibility that the department of the sports will also be given to MQM.
