K Electric requests to increase electricity price by more than Rs 1.5
K Electric, the electricity distribution company in Karachi, has requested to increase the price of electricity by one rupee 66 paisa per unit.
In this regard, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) says that an application has been submitted to NEPRA on behalf of K Electric.
According to the authority, K Electric has submitted the request for February fuel price adjustment.
According to Nepra, a hearing on K Electric’s application will be held on March 30.
If the application is approved, there will be an additional burden of 2 billion rupees on the consumers.
