Indian singer Dhvani Bhanushali has copied a song of Pakistani artist Alamgir, which has drawn criticism from social media users.
The lyrics of Indian singer Dhvani Bhanushali’s recently released song ‘Mehndi’ is a copy of Alamgir’s most popular song ‘Gagar’, which was released in the 90’s, recognizing Pakistani pop music.
The Indian singer’s song ‘Mehndi’ was released on September 21 and so far the number of viewers on YouTube has reached millions.
Interestingly, the lyrics and language of the Indian singer’s song ‘Mehndi’ are also very different from that of Gagar but the lyrics are completely similar to Gagar.
Social media users are criticizing the Indian singer and calling the song a copy.
Pakistani singer Umair Jaiswal has also received praise from fans by singing the same song of Alamgir.
He sang in season 1 of Gagar Velo Sound Station, later on Instagram Umair Jaswal also reported the theft of the song.
Dhvani Bhanushali is an Indian singer. Born in Mumbai, she is popularly known for her single Vaaste which has crossed 1 billion views on YouTube making her the youngest Indian pop star to have the fastest one billion views on YouTube.
She started her music career in 2017 by singing Acoustic version song Humsafar from Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Her first song in film was Ishtehaar from the film Welcome to New York, released in 2018. In same year she starred in the music video Ishare Tere with Guru Randhawa.
