Singer Sanam Marvi lodges attempt to kidnap case against her ex husband

LAHORE: Folk singer Sanam Marvi has filed a case against her ex-husband for attempted torture and kidnapping.

Police said, folk singer registered a case against her ex-husband Hamid Ali and his accomplices at Islampura police station Lahore.

Sanam Marvi said that her ex-husband tortured her and tried to kidnap her along with her brother.

The folk singer had married Hamid Ali in 2009, having three children with him afterwards.

On 20, February 2020, a family court in Lahore released a decree allowing singer Sanam Marvi to part ways with her husband.

According to her plea, her husband’s demeanour changed once they were married.

Last October, Lahore’s Guardian court has ruled on the consent of singer Sanam Marvi and Hamid Ali. He also approved the schedule of Ali Mustafa’s meetings. According to the court decision, the three children will stay with their mother four days a week and their father Hamid Ali three days a week.

Pakistani famous singer Sanam Marvi has alleged her husband of torturing her for 12 years.
