KHAIRPUR: As many as eleven people died as a passenger coach collided with a van in Khairpur on Wednesday.
According to eyewitnesses, the Sanghar bound passenger coach from Sukkur collided near Shah Abdul Latif University, with a Sukkur bound van on way from Nawabshah.
SSP Sukkur Amir Saud Magsi said that most of the passengers in the van suffered casualties and some people in the passenger coach were injured.
According to initial reports, a woman and two children died in the accident. Police arrested the coach driver after the accident.
The area people and Edhi ambulances reached the spot. SSP Sukkur admitted that the number of ambulances was low and the number of injured passengers was high.
Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his sorrow and sent condolence messages to the heir of the victims.
